Visceral Manipulation (VM) was developed by French Osteopath and Physiotherapist Jean-Pierre Barral.

International
In 2007 the Barral Institute was formed though courses in Barral’s Visceral Manipulation (VM) have been offered through the Upledger Institute since 1985. Barral Institute Seminars are taught in over 20 countries around the world.
Courses
The curriculum is continually being developed and refined. In collaboration with Alain Croibier, D.O. Jean-Pierre Barral has also developed the modalities of Nerve Manipulation and Global Joint Treatment based on their on-going clinical research.
Practitioners
Over 18,000 people have taken classes with BI around the world. Alumni include Osteopaths, Chiropractors, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Rolfers & other professional bodyworkers
